This contract includes 14 x Rest Areas and 32 x Truck Bays spanning across 1,177KM of road on 4 x National Highways. This contract has 100% Indigenous employees carrying out the works since being awarded in September 2015.  Remote Civil is committed to providing local Katherine indigenous residents with an opportunity to upskill and receive training to achieve their career goals.  The contract has an array of work ranging from commercial landscaping to using trucks for abandoned vehicle recovery.

• Removal and disposal of rubbish.
• Trimming of vegetation in rest areas.
• Cleaning and maintenance of water tanks internally and externally.
• Provision of potable water for water tanks.
• Repairs to and replacement of barbecues, tables & seats, rubbish bins, and supply of materials.
• Painting of tanks, tables & seats, rubbish bins and shelters.
• Cleaning of toilets and shelters
• Removal of vehicle bodies and dead animals.
• Road side verge rubbish collection
