Kalano is an Indigenous owned and managed community on the fringe of Katherine NT.

The community manage housing, roadworks and maintenance. All day to day work is undertaken by community members.

Community members were actively involved with all construction activities.

• Widen existing roads from 3.5m to 6m.
• Seal widening and over reseal full new width.
• Reseal existing 6m roads.
• Reform and reconstruct all shoulders.
• Design and construct new bus depot turning area.
• All sealing was completed with an Eco Emulsion bitumen with 10mm and 7mm aggregate.
